Exquisite cuisine enjoyed in a historic gassho-zukuri house

You can have meals inside a traditional gassho-zukuri house, creating a relaxing atmosphere as if you were visiting a relative's home. The salt-grilled sweetfish, cooked over an irori hearth, is fragrant and has a rich flavor unique to river fish. The sashimi of sweetfish, freshly prepared from the tank, conveys its freshness and has an impressive texture. The soba and udon, as well as the tempura and mountain vegetables, are all satisfying, with a crispy batter. The Gokayama tofu can be enjoyed grilled with bamboo leaf miso or as agedashi, offering a simple and gentle taste. The fluffy white rice is very delicious and pairs perfectly with the local cuisine.
