In a calm, hideaway-like shop, you can enjoy plenty of seasonal seafood. The summer grilled eel pairs perfectly with momiji oroshi (grated daikon with red leaves), and I was impressed by its light, fragrant taste. The eel keeps coming in generous portions, and before I knew it, my plate was getting emptier and emptier. In winter, there are also plenty of fugu (pufferfish) and fried dishes, which explains why there are so many regular customers. You can't miss the fried octopus and miso-grilled Kyoto eggplant, and the care put into each dish is evident. Even though the chef is managing everything by himself, the dishes come out at a good pace, making the time spent with friends even more enjoyable.
