I had been curious about this restaurant since I saw it featured on Solitary Gourmet more than two years ago. This was my long-awaited visit to the restaurant. All of the appetizers were excellent, and the charcoal-grilled dishes were delicious. And the earthenware pot rice was the best. The whale (sea bream) was so delicious that it melted in your mouth. I was very impressed. I was also surprised that they served alcohol. It was really good. I will go back again!

✏️Nashimon Residence〗〖Sakyo-ku, Kyoto〗. ------------------------ The other night we had dinner here♪ It was next to the cafe I just went to. I've been checking out this place ever since it was featured in the drama "Solitary Gourmet" (^^) I heard that there were many people like me who came to the restaurant because of it at one point✨. There is only counter seating and a large robata in front of you. There are a wide variety of dishes on the menu, and then you can check the owner's recommendation and order! All of them seem to go well with sake. However, due to the time of the bus, I decided not to drink and had a drink at a place near the inn (lol). The people at the restaurant were friendly, and the owner's mother also happened to be in the restaurant and was kind enough to chat with us 🌸. They also serve lunch, so I think I will visit at lunch time too... : :. : :. ☘salmon and salmon roe (💴3500) The amount of food was so large that I was full just from this 💦. If two people share a meal, they could order other dishes, but I was also lonely that day (lol). It seems they were low on salmon roe, so the amount of rice was reduced and served accordingly. A collaboration of salmon and salmon roe that had been slowly grilled over charcoal and then unraveled. However, it was a pity that most of the rice was too hard (perhaps they wanted to focus on the ogee). It was a pity that most of the rice was hard. Maybe it is just my personal preference, I'm glad that the center part is fluffy and there is a light char on the bottom. I think it's an earthenware pot so it will be naturally charred (^^) But the atmosphere and service were lovely. I will visit again and spend the next time ordering sake and snacks ✨.
