I grew up in Hiroshima and used to eat okonomiyaki at least once a week, but when I started living in Tokyo, it became about once a year. I happened to discover Kaneishi by chance. It seemed to be a very popular restaurant and was full right away. I was glad I had made a reservation. We started with the harami and gyoza, followed by the mixed hormone, muscle ponzu, and squid salt yaki, and finally the okonomiyaki with squid tempura and rice cake. Unfortunately, there was no soba available, so we had to settle for udon okonomiyaki, but that was good to have something to look forward to next. Mr. Kaneishi and Mr. Jinnai showed up several times, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Everything was delicious, but if I had to say something, I would say that the okonomiyaki was mixed with the taste of hormones, and the smell was a little off-putting. Maybe it can't be helped because they get orders one after another. But I will go back again.
