Reservations

In a calm atmosphere, I was able to use a seat with a good view of the garden, making for a very nice lunch. The quiet and leisurely interior of the town house is a wonderful memory of my trip to Nara. The fragrant hojicha tea porridge, the exquisite noppeijiru with a rich dashi flavor, and the warm Yamato tea were all incredibly delicious, to the point that I wanted to have seconds. The gentle and friendly service was also very pleasant. When I go to Nara again, I definitely want to have a meal at Sabou Dandan.

The staff at the shop were friendly, and it was very nice. Sitting by the window, I could see the garden well, which was also great. I ate the tea porridge with various pickles, and I was able to eat it quickly without getting tired of it.

The warm tea porridge was delicious. One point, the tea that was served with the dessert halfway through would have been better if it had been served hot at the end when eating the dessert.

At the time when the fragrant osmanthus is in full bloom, I had a moment of healing with the scent from the garden and warm porridge. Next, I would like to try red bean porridge as well.
