This is a shop with a pleasant traditional atmosphere near Lake Onuma. The cheerful staff's polite greetings lift your spirits the moment you enter. The complimentary offerings such as shiitake mushroom tea, onsen manju (hot spring buns), and konjac tsukudani (sweetened simmered konjac) make the waiting time enjoyable. The soba noodles have a wonderful aroma, and the combination with zaru (cold soba served on a bamboo tray) and kakiage (vegetable tempura) is light and delicious. The wakasagi (smelt) is fried with a fluffy batter, and when eaten with salt, its umami flavor is enhanced. The interior is filled with stickers and signs, creating a lively space that is never short of conversation topics.
