Collaboration product between Yamato Village and Amami Oshima Kaiun Shuzo. In Yamato Village, there is the Hiratomi Shrine that honors the achievements of the ancestor of sugarcane cultivation, Tomo Sunakawa. This shochu is made using carefully selected sugarcane from Amami Oshima and rice koji made from domestically produced rice, brewed through traditional atmospheric distillation. It has a robust and satisfying flavor, while achieving a delicate balance of a floral aroma and unique sweetness.
Amami Oshima Kairin Shuzo / Amami Oshima. A rare brown sugar shochu made using plenty of the spring water from the sacred peak 'Yuwan Dake' of Amami Oshima. It is aged using the 'acoustic aging' method, which adds sound vibrations for about 3 months to promote maturation. It has a smooth and gentle taste, rich aroma, and a delicate finish, making it easy for women to drink.
Amami Oshima Distillery / Amami Oshima. A raw spirit aged for over 3 years, further matured in oak barrels to achieve an amber color. With layers of aging, it offers a mellow richness of brown sugar and a sweet aroma reminiscent of fruit, along with a full-bodied flavor of shochu. It has a solid drinking experience due to the atmospheric distillation.
Machida Sake Brewery / Amami Oshima. A refreshing and light mouthfeel with no off-flavors due to vacuum distillation. A mellow and deep flavor developed through three years of aging. A shochu that is simple yet sweet and rich in aroma.
[Nishihira Sake Brewery / Amami Oshima] Quietly aged in oak barrels, it features a smooth throat feel and gentle taste, with a rich aroma and mellow depth.
【Shinno Shuzo / Okinoerabu Island】 A black sugar shochu from Okinoerabu Island, refined through reduced pressure distillation to eliminate harshness and pursue drinkability. It has a gentle mouthfeel that goes down smoothly. 'Ochimizu' is said to be the water of the moon, believed in ancient times to make one youthful when consumed.
