Even though it's in the mountains, the inside of the restaurant is very lively. The charcoal-grilled chicken skewers are all fragrant, especially the liver and heart, which are grilled to perfection. The oden has a rich broth that seeps in well, and the flavor from being cooked in hot springs spreads gently. The yuzu miso for the radish and the special soy sauce that pairs well with the strongly flavored tofu are impressive. You can also request a motsunabe (beef tripe hot pot) in advance, and the combination of cabbage and plump tripe is irresistible. The friendly service makes it comfortable, and when in doubt, following their recommended way to eat is always a safe bet.
