The exterior reminiscent of a storehouse creates a calm space with the warmth of wood. Inside, there are tatami rooms with an irori (sunken hearth) and table seating, and old dishes and decorations enhance the atmosphere. First, the miso-based oden has a fragrant aroma, with daikon, beef sinew, and konnyaku that are subtly sweet and delicious. The yakitori is plump, and the slightly sweet sauce pairs well with sake. The soba has a firm texture, and when combined with freshly grated wasabi and spicy daikon, it is just right. The tempura has a batter that scatters like flowers, making it visually appealing, and the shrimp and pumpkin are crispy and satisfying.
