It was the weekend of the annual Banei Memorial Festival, so I made a reservation by phone about three weeks in advance and two people came to the restaurant. The waitresses were very attentive to our needs, so even one woman could relax comfortably. The appetizer was spinach and fish with sesame dressing. The originality of the seasoning heightened my expectations from the start. We were told that the size of the shrimp was large, so we carefully ordered four pieces at a time. The prawns with americaine sauce are served one at a time, and the rest of the prawns are chosen according to what you would like to eat. The shrimp with americaine sauce was so delicious that I wanted some bread. I had shiitake mushrooms, which I have only recently been able to eat, and pineapple wrapped pork, which I love, with salt, while my friend chose mainly delicious vegetables from Tokachi. I wondered if he cut the meat-rolled burdock into pieces so that it would be easier to share. Thanks to you, I was able to have a bite of it. It was a gem with a wonderful earthy aroma and texture. The shiitake mushrooms were fresh, large, and juicy. It was more than enough for two pieces of yakitori at a regular yakitori restaurant. I wonder if women can share one piece. The tsukune was also cut in half to make it easier to eat, and it was served with shiso and lemon so that you could enjoy the different flavors. I also asked for prawn and lily bulb kakiage (fried shrimp and lily bulb) to go along with the skewers. The combination of the plump and sweet prawns and the dusty lily bulb was a perfect combination. I could eat a little more, so I switched from oolong tea to a non-alcoholic soda that tasted like plum wine, and added two pieces of mochi pork, a Hokkaido specialty, and a tsubu, a small tomato rolled with pork and cheese, for my friend. OHANA is located in Obihiro, which does not face the ocean, but the seafood is delicious. He asked me if I would like garlic for the whelk. I was a little bit nervous and asked him if he wanted garlic. I had only had soy sauce-flavored dishes before, so I had a Japanese-style image of the dish, but the garlic effect made it look all at once like a trendy Mediterranean dish. Mochi pork is a whole rice cake wrapped in pork, with a melt-in-your-mouth interior and a crunchy exterior, and the sweet sauce, which is more like mitarashi, is superb. If you have a small appetite, it would be good as a rice dish to end the meal. We wanted to finish the meal with grilled rice balls, but we were told that it would take about 40 minutes for the grilled rice balls, so we decided to have grilled cod roe. The cod roe was perfectly cooked and the rice was so soft and tender that it sank under the weight of the rice. There are many more dishes that I have yet to try, so I will make reservations again when I come to Obihiro. Thank you for an exciting time.

It is always crowded, so early reservations are recommended! When it's busy, the grill is crowded, so it takes quite a while from order to finish. All the skewers are large and very satisfying! The second floor was nice and spacious, but it was very smoky as if all the smoke from the grilling was pouring in, and it hurt my eyes. It was very smoky and made my eyes hurt. It also smelled really bad on my clothes.
