Omusubi-dokoro Wagaya is a shop located in the Funabashi shopping street in Nara City where you can enjoy rice balls and one soup, three dishes. The rice balls, carefully made with Hokkaido-grown Yumepirika rice, are exquisite. They offer popular house-made negi miso and Kagoshima black pork miso, among other carefully selected ingredients. The calm atmosphere inside the restaurant allows you to sit and enjoy your meal leisurely, making it a place where you can encounter new deliciousness with each visit.

The atmosphere inside the store is warm, as if you have wandered into the world of Studio Ghibli, and you feel at ease the moment you enter. Each rice ball is carefully shaped, and I felt that even if I tried to replicate it at home, I couldn't achieve the same taste. There is a rich variety of fillings such as salmon, bonito flakes, chicken soboro, and mentaiko mayo, and the saltiness is exquisite no matter which one you choose. The rolled omelet is fluffy and has become a particular favorite among the side dishes. The simmered daikon and the lightly pickled cucumbers with sesame oil also have a gentle flavor, making them a perfect match for the rice balls. The miso soup I had at the end warmed my body and filled both my stomach and heart.
