A hidden izakaya where you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine

Yokabatten is an izakaya located just a few minutes' walk from Ookayama Station, offering a delightful selection of Kyushu cuisine. The Nagasaki specialty, sara udon, is particularly recommended, and the taste enhanced by the traditional 'Kinchou sauce' is exquisite. In the cozy interior, you can enjoy a variety of Kyushu dishes along with a sake tasting experience. It's a charming place that makes you want to return after your first visit.

The cozy interior, just a moment away from the south exit, has a comforting atmosphere as soon as you step in. The first appetizers I ordered all had a homemade feel, and I couldn't stop using my chopsticks. The specialty champon features a rich homemade soup combined with plenty of vegetables, offering a taste reminiscent of the original. The aroma that spreads after slurping the noodles is pleasant, naturally bringing a smile to my face. The sara udon also has fragrant thin noodles coated in a thick sauce, with the accompanying Worcestershire sauce providing a nice accent. There are also tatami rooms, making it easy to spend time leisurely with friends, and just imagining what to eat next fills me with excitement.
