It's a busy alleyway! Four of us visited to have a welcome party inside! The restaurant was found and reserved by one of our seniors! On the day of the party, we met at Juso station. We didn't know where the restaurant was, so we just kept walking and walking... and walking... and walking... and walking... and walking. About a 5 minute walk west from Juso station. I walked into a back alley and was directed to "Torimoto"! I was guided to "Torimoto"! Aaah! This is the place! This is where I've always wanted to go! It's a yakitori restaurant where you can eat Nagoya Cochin, and I've been wanting to go there for a long time! Inside the restaurant, there is a counter in the front and two small tatami rooms for 4 people in the back. At 7pm on a weekday, the place was full! I'm glad I made a reservation! We each toasted with a drink! I'll have a Yuzu Chuhai and a toast! Wine, sparkling (no glass) and various drinks are available! I wanted to order sparkling if anyone wants to drink it! The food is a la carte, as there doesn't seem to be any courses or anything like that! We ordered whatever we wanted! Assorted 5-course sashimi of jidori (local chicken) 1,080 yen Liver, chicken breast, zuri, etc.! It was so fresh and the texture was amazing! It's sweet and extremely tasty! After all, you want to start with raw chicken, don't you? Steamed chicken salad 580 yen I think I had a choice of sesame or ponzu dressing! It was crispy and had plenty of steamed chicken in it! Seared Cochin Thigh 980 yen The skin is seared fragrantly and the meat is semi-raw and rare! Cochin's unique firm texture It's so delicious! The more you chew the meat, the more flavorful it becomes! I love Nagoya Cochin! Ponzu sauce with yubiki skin (390 yen) The skin is so crispy! It is not greasy because of the refreshing ponzu (citrus juice) taste! If you put it on the table, it's a snack. Cochin egg plin 300 yen Only the girls ordered dessert! This was, you know, delicious! The egg is firm and the caramel has just the right amount of bitterness! A real sweet from a yakitori restaurant! There is also an ice cream Catalana style. I'll try that next time! I ordered many other things, but this is the only one I was able to take a picture of... It was a fun pick-up party, so I couldn't take any pictures! The bill was about 4,000 yen for the three of us! I'm glad the star of the day was happy! This place is very inexpensive and delicious! I'll definitely come back next time! Thank you for the food!
