The moment I opened the paulownia box, the fragrance of persimmon leaves spread gently, and I was moved. Sushi wrapped in red and green leaves was neatly arranged, and just the sight of it lifted my spirits. The moist mackerel had a sharp saltiness that paired perfectly with the rice and left a lasting impression. The salmon had a mild flavor that gently melted away with the subtle aroma of the leaves.
