This soba shop stands amidst a beautiful snowy landscape. Housed in a relocated building with a 120-year history, it offers Kitawase variety ni-hachi soba. The thick, hand-made soba has a strong chewiness, perfectly complementing the flavorful broth made with katsuobushi. The interior is adorned with woodblock prints and antique folk tools, and the irori (traditional hearth) adds to the restaurant's rich atmosphere.

The signboard serves as a landmark, making the shop easy to find. The handmade soba has a wonderful aroma and pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. The maitake tempura is freshly fried with a light texture that brings a smile to your face. The grated daikon and ginger add a nice kick, allowing you to enjoy a change in flavor. It's also nice that the tempura dipping sauce is served separately, and the green onions are large and crisp. The set of tempura rice bowl and soba can be chosen as either hot or cold, and the portion is easy to finish.
