When I entered a narrow alley in Shin-Okubo, drawn in by a red sign, I was relieved to be greeted with a smile by the staff. The eat-in area on the second floor is clean and calm, with the local aroma wafting through. When I ordered the hot and sour noodles, the chewy sweet potato noodles paired perfectly with the sour and spicy soup, and the texture of the peanuts was delightful. The small noodles with beef were soaked in a flavorful broth, and the smooth thin noodles were easy to slurp up. There were plenty of toppings like cilantro and pickled green beans, allowing me to enjoy a variety of flavors until the end. By the time I finished eating, I was filled with a sense of satisfaction as if I had tasted the air of Chongqing while sweating.
