Sashimi Izakaya with locally produced, locally consumed, Kanagawa ingredients The main restaurant and annex in Takashimamachi are famous for the difficulty in getting reservations, but this is a relatively quiet place. It might be good to have an all-you-can-drink menu, etc. It is located directly in front of Wins Yokohama, a sacred place for horse racing lovers in Kanagawa Prefecture. The specialty of this restaurant is the "Dosari-mari," which is made with fresh fish from the seas around the Miura Peninsula on the day it is served, as well as daikon radish balls from the Miura Peninsula, and is made with local production for local consumption. The market was probably not open on the day we visited during the Bon vacation period, but we were happy to find fresh fish in abundance. Other dishes such as kakiage (tempura of baby sardines) and simmered kinmedai (snapper) are also very hearty. I also noticed after paying the bill that "matsuriwa saba" (mackerel) was on the menu! A brand of mackerel that even Kanagawa Prefecture residents rarely have a chance to try, and I would definitely like to go back to try it. Sake is also available, so local lovers will be very happy to know that this restaurant offers Kanagawa sake, but the beer was Sapporo.
