Entering the dining area by the harbor and simply watching the fish swim in the tank in front of me raises my expectations. The interior has raised seating and table seats, creating a calm atmosphere where you can relax. The sashimi platter of local fish features thick slices of shrimp, squid, and horse mackerel, and the plump texture is impressive. The bowl resembling Mount Fuji, layered with negitoro (minced tuna with green onions), squid, and turban shell, is visually enjoyable, and each bite offers a different deliciousness. The spicy accent of island chili pepper in the horse mackerel namero (a type of fish paste) is irresistible. Even the handmade tokoroten (a type of jelly made from agar) and miso soup with seaweed served after the meal felt fresh, allowing me to fully savor the blessings of the island.
