"Broke da mouth" is a Pidgin expression used in Hawai'i that means "incredibly delicious." Apt here in the extreme. The very first bite - of a bacon-wrapped date stuffed with bleu cheese - was so utterly delicious we sat in awe for several minutes before we even cared to sample anything else. Food and drink alike were uniformly beyond excellent. Wait staff friendly and (on a busy evening) attentive. My only gripe was that I had made this reservation expressly requesting a very nice table, as it was our 40th wedding anniversary, and atmosphere is crucial for such an occasion. I learned afterward that there is apparently nice seating in the back, but we were never offered nor shown it, and no explanation was ever advanced. They clearly knew, as we were presented with an off-menu dessert sample on the house, with "Happy anniversary" in chocolate syrup on the plate. By all means, go for the food, with no qualification. But if you want nice ambiance, be prepared to advocate strenuously for it in advance.
