La pasta fresca estaba caliente, masticable y deliciosa. Fui con un grupo de seis motociclistas. Hicimos una reserva y pudimos entrar sin tiempo de espera. La próxima vez, vendré con mi familia.
A charming place where traditional flavors meet modern café culture
Founded in 1981, this renowned katsudon restaurant has been revitalized as a café by the owner's son. Inside, you'll find a stylish atmosphere that is surprisingly chic compared to its exterior, where you can enjoy popular sauce katsudon and exquisite pancakes. The pancakes, in particular, are fluffy and are one of the reasons many regulars keep coming back. Additionally, the seasonal pancake menu adds to the excitement, ensuring that each visit brings new discoveries.
I was looking forward to the natural mouth-fine blue eel, which turned out to be a delicious eel. The sauce was light and light, with a modest and assuring flavor. We were shown to our seats and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. This popular restaurant has been selected by Michelin Fukui and I think it deserves the title of a great restaurant. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

On weekdays, it's spacious and relaxed. On weekends, it gets a bit crowded.
The menu can be broadly described as udon, rice balls, soba, and set meals.
The rice ball set for 1000 yen was an incredible deal! A single rice ball is about 500 yen, and the set comes with miso soup and side dishes. Essentially, you're only paying for the rice ball!
Udon, soba, and tempura are cooked or fried after you place your order, so there is a bit of a wait, but the tempura is super crispy, so it's worth the wait!

I was impressed by the delicious heartland raw and the variety of fugu dishes. The fugu sashimi and grilled fugu were especially wonderful with their savory aroma and plump texture. And the fugu shirako (blowfish milt) was a perfect match with sake. The fugu nigiri, however, was average, but I felt it was of a reasonable standard for a sushi restaurant. Overall, we had a very satisfying banquet with many delicious dishes. I would like to express my gratitude to Haikaro.
