I went on the night of January 3rd. Despite it being New Year's, the fresh fish and other dishes were very delicious with a unique twist. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making the meal very enjoyable. I would like to go again, but since I'm from Kansai, it's not easy... However, if someone asks me if I know a good place in Tosu, Fukuoka, or Saga, I can confidently recommend this restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant, the cheerful staff welcomes you, lifting your spirits. First, I grilled the tongue and enjoyed it refreshingly with the special green onion lemon sauce. The thick Saga beef is tender, and both the short rib and loin are fragrant and bursting with flavor. The offal, intestines, and tripe are all meticulously prepared, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. Eating it with the moistly cooked Saga rice further enhances the satisfaction. It seems there are also items available by reservation only, so it's reassuring to call and confirm beforehand.

It is convenient because it is close to the station. They prepare the squid that swims in the tank inside the store after you order it, so it is very fresh. The squid sashimi has a crunchy texture, and you can really taste the sweetness. After enjoying the flesh, they make the rest into tempura, allowing you to enjoy a different deliciousness. Other dishes like dashi-maki (rolled omelette), sesame mackerel, and stir-fried offal are all satisfying in taste. They have local sake from Saga and Fukuoka, which pairs well with highballs.

The shop is located a little off the road, making it feel like a hidden gem, which is exciting. Inside, there is a counter and a small raised tatami area, as well as an attic-like space that is calming. It is lively with many families, and they are thorough in confirming orders. The grilled skewers, fried octopus, and fried mackerel are all fragrant and satisfying. The seafood salt yakisoba, Vietnamese-style fresh spring rolls, and steamed large clams also left a strong impression. There is a wide variety of fish dishes and daily specials, and they offer non-alcoholic drinks, so even those who are driving can enjoy themselves.

The appearance is like a hidden retreat, and once you enter, it is a quiet and calming space. The restroom is surprisingly clean, and the interior is also tidy. There is a shichirin (a small charcoal grill) where you can grill meat and fish at your own pace. Seafood may require a reservation, and you can enjoy items like lobster, abalone, turban shell, scallops, and oysters. The drink selection is also extensive, including beer, highballs, shochu, local sake, and mizore sake. It is a small shop within walking distance from the station, where you can relax slowly.

The king melon I had at Ange coco was so good 😘💕. It looked so beautiful and I immediately decided to try it: ❤️ Inside was a round cut out melon and melon jelly, It was filled with strawberries, whipped cream and sponge cake 🍈🍓.
