Sitting on the terrace, the sea breeze is pleasant, and I couldn't help but relax. The spicy curry with pufferfish and vegetables has just the right amount of heat, and the fried pufferfish is surprisingly juicy. The pancakes I ordered for dessert are fluffy, with the richness of the butter adding a nice touch. I went to a sushi restaurant located in a quiet place just a short walk from Oita City Station. The interior seems to have just been renovated, with both the counter and the tatami seating being bright and calming. The smooth tofu served as an appetizer absorbed the dashi well, which lifted my spirits from the start. The sashimi that followed, especially the yellowtail and the red tuna, was particularly fresh, with an excellent balance of fat and texture. The gently simmered white fish and the slightly sweet tamagoyaki were also impressive, complemented by seasonal mountain vegetables adding color. The finishing nigiri had small, fluffy rice balls, and the sweetness of the fatty tuna and shrimp was well highlighted, allowing me to enjoy my meal with a happy feeling until the very end.
