Marco and Tiziana Parusso made Perarmando to honor their father, Armando, who founded this estate in 1971. Produced by blending all the prestigious Nebbiolo grapes coming from the Mariondino, Mosconi and Bussia crus, this is an exotic Barolo, truly unlike any other.

Champagne has a rival: the Italian sparkling wine zone Franciacorta. Not just following, but enforcing even stricter laws than Champagne, Franciacorta proves itself an apt competitor in the contest of the world's greatest sparkling wines. Using Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco & Chardonnay, the region remains relatively obscure, awarding its followers with great value. Ca' del Bosco has been a leader in Franciacorta production & consistently represents quality & pride for these great Lombardian wines.

Chardonnay comes in many shapes and sizes, and the style of the wine reflects not only the location where it is grown but also the winemaker's aspirations. Situated just four miles from the Pacific Ocean, Peay Vineyards chose to grow their Chardonnay in a cooler temperature to keep tropical flavors at bay and allow the variety's more citrus and mineral qualities to sing. Known for using traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques, Peay's Estate Chardonnay delivers incredible vibrancy, edginess, and complexity

If ever there were an indigenous Italian varietal that could rival the body & complexity of white Burgundy, it would be Timarosso. The "Colli Tortonesi" DOC zone, which remains exceedingly small in terms of total vineyard acreage, covers to the hills (colli) around Tortona, an ancient town in Piedmont's Alessandria province, not far from Piedmont's mountainous border with Liguria. Tortona was historically known as Derthona, or Dertona, and many Timorasso-based wines (including this one) carry that archaic name on their labels. Like so many Italian grape varieties, Timorasso effectively grows here and nowhere else; it had been practically extinct until a visionary local producer resurrected it and began attracting serious critical attention in the early 2000s.

eruptions) to happen on the island of Sicily is the awakening of the wines of Mt. Etna. The reds & whites are based untraditionally not in vineyards, but on flattened portions of ancient lava flows from different eruptions over several centuries in a territorial system known as Contrada. Terra Costantino's vineyards climb the southeastern slope of Mount Etna at Contrada Blandano, in the territory of Viagrande, the heart of the Etna DOC zone. From here, you can see the sea and taste the windblown tang of salt in the air.

Many Italian rosé, or rosato, mimic the style made famous in Provence—with a twist. They are dry & light like the French iteration, but instead of being a wine more often consumed apart from food, they often are bottled with an overt friendliness towards the dining table. Tenuta Carretta is closing in on their 550th year of viticulture, so they are starting to get the hang of it. This rosato is a blend of Piedmontese grapes Barbera & Nebbiolo, created with a nod to both Provence & the great terroir of the Langhe

Winemaker Evan Martin is humbly producing some of the greatest Pinot Noir found anywhere. Like a virtuoso artist, Evan's discerning taste leads him to maniacally select only the highest of quality grapes, sourced from vineyard sites as rare and exceptional as they come. Enter his pièce de résistance, the illustrious "Koosah" vineyard bottling. The name Koosah, derived from the dialect of the Coastal Salish people, evokes a sense of awe with its poetic translation, "beautiful ceiling in the sky," a fitting portrayal of its perch atop the crest of Eola-Amity Hills. To the direct west of the Koosah vineyard lies a majestic gap in the formidable Coastal Range mountains. It is through this opening (aka "Van Duzer Corridor") that Koosah lies completely exposed to cooler marine temperatures and the constant threat of tempestuous storm systems that could devastate the vineyard at any time. One might ponder the audacity of sourcing fruit from such an extreme and dramatic setting, but in the case of Koosah, fortune favors the bold.. Here, the Pinot Noir vines thrive, un-grafted and planted on their original rootstock, basking in warm days and cool nights but also benefitting from the high elevation where intensified UV rays gift the vineyard with one of the most prolonged and perfectly balanced growing seasons in the Willamette Valley. Limited and exceptionally special, the '21 Koosah tantalizes the senses with notes of Alpine spices, macerated dark cherries, and a touch of reduced pomegranate leaving a lasting impression of indulgence and sophistication.

A Manhattan-based sommelier tastes some Washington State wines and is so inspired that he sells everything to move across the country to make his own. That's the start of the story of Gramercy Cellars, where a close eye on the grapes, matched with minimalist winemaking techniques and a lot of time (extended aging), has created a wine that juxtaposes Old World Bordeaux with historical California from the 1980s and 90s- a rare style today... A combination of power and elegance in your glass

Want to try something Italian, but in a "New World" kind of way? Russell P. is the winemaker and sole employee of Herman Story. His wines are hard to come by as the production is small and most bottles are quickly gobbled up by eager wine club members. Russell masterfully combines Syrah, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, with a touch of Merlot to evoke a sense of Italy closer to home in Paso Robles.

The Incisa della Rocchetta family is probably best known as the proprietors of Tenuta San Guido, the winery responsible for creating Sassicaia, the first "Super Tuscan". However, the family's provenance is surprisingly not in Tuscany but rather in Piedmont, on the bank of the Tanaro River just east of Asti. "Sant'Emiliano" spends a year & a half in French oak barrels, which affords the wine an elegance & depth of flavor not typically found in Barbera. This is an incredible value & a rare opportunity to enjoy a little-known wine produced by one of Italy's greatest & most revered winemaking families

Whether you're a vintner, enologist, sommelier, or simply a lover of fine wine, all would agree that Barolo stands among the most elite wines in the world. Just as Burgundy lovers forever debate the nuances of Vosne-Romanée versus Gevrey-Chambertin, Barolo enthusiasts of today discuss structural differences and aromatic distinctions found in each of Barolo's unique subzones. Palladino sources from vineyard sites in the Serralunga d'Alba commune, in the heart of Langhe, from soils comprised of clay and limestone, resulting in an elegant and refined style.

Gallina is one of the most historically recognized single vineyards in the Barbaresco appelation. The soils here tend to produce wines of longevity & complexity without sacrificing on flavor. At the most dramatic place one could plant vines, Cantina del Pino was established on top of the Ovello hill over 100 years ago, perfected by multiple generations of one family. The intensity of the soil plus the epic quality of the vintage combine for a Barbaresco that proves why this appellation has so much potential.

There is a lot to celebrate in the original Chianti zone, now known as Chianti Classico. The wines, via careful advances in wineries & vineyards, have returned to their status as one of the world's most important wine regions. Volpaia is a winery (and village) that has been through the highs & lows of Chianti's success and now finds itself in a promising position after all the region's advances. Two thirds of the village of Volpaia's residences are dedicated to the creation of this wine.

In recent years, top Brunello di Montalcino producers have sought high-altitude vineyards to capture Sangiovese's typicity in warmer vintages purposefully preserving its varietal finesse. Cerbaia is fortunate to possess a coveted plot in the famed vineyard of Montosoli, where they harness the sun's rays for a formidable and refined wine with fresh acidity – a rare achievement today. Cerbaia's Brunello embodies traditional flavors of sour black cherry, crunchy red plum, saddle leather, and tilled earth. The resulting wine is a more pronounced, luxurious bottling that only the region of Montalcino can provide.

The Super Tuscan movement began in the early 1970s and quickly gained favor amongst collectors and casual wine drinkers alike. These wines were made famous by incorporating non-native grapes including Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabreo's "Il Borgo" masterfully blends these Tuscan-grown varietals with the native Sangiovese to create a powerful yet elegant style that stands up against the best of Napa and Bordeaux.

The Ripasso process involves blending wine from partially dried grapes & freshly vinified wine that has been "re-passed" over the leftovers from the production of Amarone. It creates a wine reminiscent of Amarone but with a lighter drinkability. "If this is not Amarone, then it is a lying wine!" This was the exclamation of an experienced sommelier when he tasted Buglioni's first Ripasso wine in 2000, an incident which gave birth to the name of their wine, "Il Bugiardo," or "the liar."

The Sicilian region of Etna is unlike any other wine producing region in the world. Most notoriously known as the home of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, one would not consider this to be an ideal place to grow grapes. Dangerously steep, rocky slopes, unpredictable weather, and the threat of volcanic eruption at any point? Very few are up for the challenge of making wine under such extreme circumstances. The work of these daring vintners results in wines made with the region's indigenous Nerello Mascalese grape like Passopisciaro's: energetic fruit & smoky earth with an elegant structure, making Etna Rosso the next big thing for Burgundy & Piedmont lovers

Sardinia is among the 5 "Blue Zones" of the world, a term referring to areas with the largest concentration of centenarians. Cannonau (the Sardinian word for Grenache) is incredibly anti-oxidant rich, and locals consume two glasses a day on average, undeniably contributing to their longevity. For many years, the winemaking in this region focused on bulk production, but over the past 30 years many Sardinian producers have lowered yields and begun producing barrel-aged wines. Cannonau, which is the grape of Argiolas' "Costera", has greatly benefited from the shifting focus of quality over quantity. Please enjoy this beautifully dark and brooding wine, it may just tack a year or two onto your life expectancy.

Vin Santo is such a rare & difficult wine to make that its success has always been attributed to the heavens, hence the name: "holy wine". Even rarer is the rosé iteration based on Sangiovese which requires nearly six years of aging. To illustrate the commitment, consider this: Poggio la Noce would use the same amount of grapes to make two cases of wine as they do for one half bottle of their Vin Santo

Heritage, craftsmanship, and pure Tuscan character—Nozzole's 2022 Chianti Classico Riserva is a true expression of its historic estate. With roots dating back to the 1300s, Nozzole has perfected the art of Sangiovese, delivering a wine that's bold yet refined. Layers of ripe black cherry, crushed violets, and wild herbs unfold with hints of tobacco and polished oak. Firm tannins and vibrant acidity give it a structured, age-worthy finish. A balance of power and elegance, this is Chianti with a story to tell.

Champagne has a rival: the Italian sparkling wine zone Franciacorta. Not just following, but enforcing even stricter laws than Champagne, Franciacorta proves itself an apt competitor in the contest of the world's greatest sparkling wines. Using Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco Chardonnay, the region remains relatively obscure, awarding its followers with great value. Ca' del Bosco has been a leader in Franciacorta production consistently represents quality pride for these great Lombardian wines.

Gewürztraminer may be best known in Northeastern France, but it has found a remarkable home in Sonoma Valley. Gundlach Bundschu, California's oldest continuously family-owned winery, has tended its Rhinefarm estate since 1858, with six generations shaping a true living legacy. Their Gewürztraminer is a sensory love letter to the vineyard: intensely aromatic, floral, and kissed with spice. Grown in the estate's cooler pockets, it balances bright acidity with graceful texture, unfolding like spring air perfumed with blossoms and citrus. Fun to say...even more fun to drink!

Chardonnay comes in many shapes and sizes, and the style of the wine reflects not only the location where it is grown but also the winemaker's aspirations. All the vineyard sites for "Cèpe" are within five miles of the Pacific Ocean. The resulting temperatures give Edna Valley AVA one of the longest growing seasons in California, resulting in higher levels of ripeness and varietal expression. RPM has partnered with winemaker Andrew Jone to create a full, smooth and creamy, but non overly-oaky Chardonnay that delivers in true California fashion. Exclusively at RPM Restaurants.

A study in refined allure, Le Fornaci captures the golden light of Lake Garda in every glass. Aromas of white peach, lemon blossom, and crushed stone rise with quiet sophistication, leading to a palate that's pure silk — vibrant citrus and nectarine layered over a fine, mineral core. The finish is long, graceful, and gently almond-toned, leaving a trace of cool elegance and effortless charm. Modern, polished, and unmistakably sensual, Le Fornaci embodies contemporary Italian luxury — timeless, poised, and beautifully understated.

From Cusumano, one of Sicily's leading family estates known for elevating the island's native grapes, Angimbè takes its name from a forest near the town of Salemi, not far from the family's vineyards. This blend captures the essence of Sicily's sunlit hills and coastal breezes, with native grape Insolia — prized for its almond-kissed perfume and citrusy lift — meeting Chardonnay's supple texture. Volcanic soils lend subtle salinity, grounding each sip in the island's rugged, unmistakable terroir.

"Riviera Rosé" takes its name not from its French counterpart, but from Santa Barbara being know as the "American Riviera" - although the French influence can be tasted in the glass. A blend of Counoise, Cinsault, an Grenache, this rosé can transport you to a sun-soaked Mediterranean beach with it's crisp and refreshing texture. Doug Margerum has created a winery that is committed to sustainability - organic farming practices, using natural winemaking components as antioxidants rather than excessive sulfur, passion... The result is wine that is pure, true to the feeling of the Riviera (American, that is), and most importantly - delicious!

As California's oldest continuously family-owned winery, Gundlach Bundschu Winery has quietly nurtured its roots in Sonoma Valley since 1858, where six generations of family have transformed the Rhinefarm estate into a living legacy. Among the most captivating expressions of this heritage is the Mountain Cuvée. This lush Bordeaux-style red blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. With bold fruit, supple tannins, and a silky finish, it's crafted to evoke warmth, richness, and connection—whether shared over candlelight or a slow Sunday supper. Gundlach Bundschu doesn't just make wine—it makes stories, each glass a chapter written in sun, soil, and six generations of devotion.

"Sant'Emiliano" spends a year a half in French oak barrels, which affords the wine an elegance depth of flavor not typically found in Barbera. This is an incredible value a rare opportunity to enjoy a little-known wine produced by one of Italy's greatest most revered winemaking families

"The true Beauty of Albe is the caress of the sun that rises three times every morning over our vineyards. It's the exceptional simplicity of nature that makes the awakening of life an everyday miracle." - Milena Vaira A vibrant, accessible expression of Barolo, "Albe" is crafted from high-elevation vineyards with varied exposures—earning its name from the "dawn" (albe) seen across these slopes. This wine captures the classic soul of Nebbiolo with bright red cherry, rose petals, and hints of tar and spice. Structured but graceful, with refined tannins and a lingering mineral finish, it's a beautiful gateway into the world of Barolo, or a fresh perspective for seasoned fans.

All elegance, no edge—Michele Chiarlo's "Reyna" is Barbaresco with a crown. Named for the "queen" of the Langhe, this wine celebrates Nebbiolo's softer, more graceful side. While Barolo brings the muscle, Barbaresco plays with finesse—lighter on its feet, but every bit as complex. "Reyna" shows off with bright cherry, dried rose, and a flicker of spice, gliding into silky tannins and a long, poised finish. From one of Piedmont's most respected names, this is classic Italian royalty with a modern touch.

For more than four generations, the Sassetti family has farmed some of the most prized vineyards in Montalcino. In 1967, Livio Sassetti was among the founders of the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino, the very year the DOCG system was born. Just a decade later, he established the Pertimali estate on Montosoli hill, today considered one of the appellation's most legendary crus. The 2018 Brunello captures the essence of Montosoli: vibrant red cherry, plum, and dried rose layered with notes of cedar, tobacco, and a distinctive mineral edge drawn from soils rich in marine fossils. Farmed organically and harvested by hand, the wine shows remarkable freshness and balance, framed by fine tannins and a long, classical finish. A benchmark Brunello rooted in history, and one that will reward both patience in the cellar and enjoyment at the table.

This is a wine born of Tuscan soul and poetic mystery — a red that doesn't merely pour into the glass, but unfolds like a whispered confession at dusk. It screams out on the hilltop that it is here to stay. With the power and elegance of black and red fruits on the nose to the velvety, supple, and quietly commanading. Its tannins are fine, like silk slipping through your fingers, and its structure is confident, but never boastful. You get the lasting and intertwined flavors of plum, cocoa, espresso, and cedar. This wine is the epitome of the ever growning Bordeaux-style Super Tuscan that was vizualized in the early 1970s.

Buglioni's "Il Lussurioso"—The Lustful One—lives up to its name with an Amarone that's rich, brooding, and undeniably seductive. From their estate near Verona, the Buglioni family has earned a reputation for bringing freshness and finesse to one of Italy's most opulent styles. The 2019 vintage is made in classic Amarone fashion, with hand-harvested grapes dried slowly to concentrate depth and texture. The result is luxurious but balanced—full-bodied, velvety, and just restrained enough to keep you coming back. A wine of power, elegance, and pure temptation.

The La Gelsomina estate lies on Etna's eastern slopes, where ancient lava flows have shaped soils into a patchwork of black rock and ash. Working at high elevation, with extreme day-night temperature swings, the winemakers here embrace the mountain's volatility to coax out something remarkably refined. Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio deliver lifted aromas of red cherry and wild herbs, framed by smoky minerality and taut, elegant structure... a wine with lava in its veins, pulsing with Etna's raw beauty and quiet intensity.

Born from century-old bush vines rooted in the red earth of Salento, this Negroamaro is the soul of southern Italy poured into a glass. Sun-drenched fruit and sea-kissed breezes shape a wine of quiet power and dark allure. It opens in waves — black cherry, plum, and wild herbs — before revealing whispers of cocoa, tobacco, and warm spice from a year's rest in oak. On the palate, it moves with silk and shadow: full-bodied yet graceful, its tannins like the brush of a lover's hand, its finish long, smoky, and softly sweet. This is a wine for twilight dinners and slow confessions — a southern beauty that invites surrender rather than demands attention.

The hills of Tuscany's Chianti Classico region are steeped in history, but few vineyards tell a story as compelling as Rancia. Produced by Fèlsina, this single-vineyard Sangiovese is a testament to the estate's dedication to tradition and excellence. With its high-altitude limestone soils and sun-drenched slopes, Rancia yields wines of remarkable depth and elegance. Vibrant red fruit, fragrant herbs, and a backbone of firm yet refined tannins define its character, while years in the cellar reveal layers of earth, spice, and tobacco. A benchmark for age-worthy Sangiovese, Rancia is a must for lovers of Brunello and top-flight Barolo alike.

Vin Santo is such a rare difficult wine to make that its success has always been attributed to the heavens, hence the name: "holy wine". Even rarer is the rosé iteration based on Sangiovese which requires nearly six years of aging. To illustrate the commitment, consider this: Poggio la Noce would use the same amount of grapes to make two cases of wine as they do for one half bottle of their Vin Santo

With bold fruit, supple tannins, and a silky finish, it's crafted to evoke warmth, richness, and connection—whether shared over candlelight or a slow Sunday supper.
