A cozy place to enjoy Kyushu cuisine and wagyu motsunabe

Wagyu Motsunabe Kyushu Cuisine Tsubaki Kanayama is conveniently located directly connected to Kanayama Station. In a comfortable setting, the restaurant offers dishes that beautifully harmonize local ingredients with those from Kyushu, allowing you to savor authentic flavors from the region. The charcoal-grilled local chicken, in particular, is enticing with its fragrant aroma and juicy taste.

■Never before! Luxurious and chic motsunabe restaurant ⁈:A izakaya that specializes in Kyushu cuisine and is easy for women to use! Wagyu beef hot pot, Kyushu cuisine, Tsubaki Kanayama station 3 minutes walk from Kanayama station. Located in the Kanayama Ginza underground shopping and dining district, this izakaya specializes in Kyushu cuisine. Although there are many izakayas that serve motsu-nabe, this restaurant has a different concept from the motsu-nabe izakayas we have seen so far. First of all, the interior of the restaurant has a very chic and luxurious atmosphere. The lighting is kept low, so you feel as if you are in a bar or a bar. The sofas in the restaurant are soft and comfortable. And the distance between the seats is very close, so you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has 50 seats, including a semi-private room stylishly divided by curtains. This restaurant can be used for date nights as well. The concept of "Wagyu beef hot pot" seems to be a male favorite and is frowned upon by women, but this restaurant could be used for a girls' night out as well. This is a premium restaurant with a concept not found in ordinary izakaya. The restaurant just opened in 2018, and with the influence of Corona, it was quite busy. As expected, there were many female customers and couples. Menu. Specialty! Numb and spicy hot spicy bean-paste Japanese beef hot pot 1,480 yen We chose this dish because it is the specialty of the restaurant. I chose "Normal" spiciness. I was surprised at how unusual the menu was to begin with. The nabe that came out was a combination of tofu, eggplant, and minced meat. I was amazed at the ingredients, which I had never seen before in a motsu nabe: tofu, eggplant, and minced meat. The soup tasted of hot red pepper and sansho (Chinese pepper). In fact, there is a lot of sansho in the soup, and you can eat it with the soup. However, it is not only spicy, but it also comes with a strong "lingering" flavor. In the recent spicy boom, there are many dishes that are just spicy, but it is difficult to find a hot pot that maintains a balance of spiciness, numbness, aroma, and umami. It is much more flavorful than hot pot. I wonder if they use a type of soy bean sauce that has a rich and umami taste. Of course, the fat from the wagyu beef tendon plays a large role in the umami of this dish. Wagyu beef is huge. Unlike typical motsu nabe, the meat is large and the fat is delicious. It is also characterized by the fact that the meat is not chewy, which is a common characteristic of morotsu. You can eat it with a crunch. The "normal" level of spiciness is enough for even those who do not like spiciness. I liked the garlic sprouts and dried chili peppers as they accentuated the flavor. ♦Kyushu Jidori Chicken Skin Ponzu - 380 yen Chosen because it is a popular speed menu item. First of all, each chicken skin is huge. And the texture is wonderful. The skin is not burnt and the meat is not tough, which is wonderful. The batter is also very crispy and easy to eat. The soy sauce-based seasoning was excellent for a first dish. ♦Charcoal-grilled Okumikawa chicken 1,200 yen Each piece of chicken here is also large. Each piece of meat is large and plump. There is no crispy feeling at all. The charred aroma and bitterness from the charcoal fire accentuate the flavor of the chicken. The salt and pepper are just right, making this a menu item that is truly a must-have for saké. The unique aroma is very appetizing! ♦Assorted horse sashimi (medium): 1,280 yen A beautifully arranged assortment of horse sashimi. Tare is served with yuzu ponzu (citrus ponzu citrus juice) and sweet soy sauce. It shines like gold. There are three types: marbled, lean, and meaty. The meat of the fish has a firm texture that is irresistible. There is no smell. We recommend using sweet soy sauce. The lean meat has sweet fat and a texture that indicates freshness. Try it with sweet soy sauce for a sweet taste. Marbled meat is a dish that has a delicious fat, tenderness, and sweetness. The amount of fat is wonderful. Personally, I recommend eating it with yuzu ponzu to enjoy its fresh texture. The restaurant had a concept that is not found in ordinary izakaya, namely, chic and stylish despite being a motsu nabe (hot pot) restaurant. The taste, atmosphere, and cosiness of the restaurant were all good things. The quality of each dish is high. It makes me want to try more and more dishes! It makes you want to try more and more dishes. The customer service is also excellent. Three people are always on hand to take your order, and they are quick to act. They come so quickly that you don't even have to shout. It is also nice that they have buttons. The service is very friendly and cheerful, which made a good impression on me. The concept of the restaurant is very accessible to women, so girls' parties and dates are OK. It is also cosy and affordable. For those who want to eat motsu nabe but are embarrassed by the noise, this is the perfect place for you. We hope you will try it. Thank you very much for your meal.

Excellent product! Charcoal grill It was cold, so we went back to this restaurant, which is directly connected to the station and convenient. My personal favorite is the authentic Miyazaki charcoal-grilled chicken (๑̀ㅂ́)و✧. ▪️The royal road‼︎Motsu-nabe with golden soy sauce ▪️Charcoal-grilled Miyazaki Jidori Chicken Kuroyaki ▪️Chicken cartilage char-grill ▪️ Kagoshima chicken tataki ▪️ spicy lotus root The chicken is seasoned with salt and pepper and grilled over a high charcoal fire until blackened. Unlike restaurants that often use charcoal powder, this is authentic charcoal grilling. The chicken is made from "Jidori chicken with bones" directly from Miyazaki (; ・`д・´), which is chewy and the more you chew it, the more delicious it becomes. The owner's hobby is to eat delicious food from all over the world, and this is his passion. The motsu nabe was served in a golden broth made from two kinds of soy sauce and five kinds of dry ingredients (✧Д✧)! It was just as delicious as last time. And personally, the spicy lotus root here...I'm addicted to it because I can feel the spiciness and flavor when it goes through my nose!
