The sushi counter inside the hotel is very convenient as you can drop by even after skiing. First, a few recommended nigiri are served, and then you can order as much of your favorite toppings as you like, which is fun. Of course, there are tuna and scallops, but I was excited to see ingredients typical of Hokkaido, such as seared toppings and white clams. I was particularly impressed by the richness of the sea urchin and salmon roe, which paired excellently with the rice. The young chef is friendly and approachable, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal even alone. I was able to spend a luxurious time savoring fresh sushi in the mountains.
