A hidden inn where you can enjoy the nature and flavors of the Shimanto River
Nagomi Yado Anju-an is a hidden inn nestled on a small hill surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Shimanto River. The dishes, made with an abundance of locally sourced fresh ingredients, are gentle on the body, and the seared bonito is particularly exquisite. You will be moved by its deep flavors. Enjoy a luxurious time immersed in the nature of Shimanto, accompanied by warm hospitality.
You can view the Shimanto River from a low perspective close to the water's surface, and the feeling of being surrounded by the gentle flow and nature is the best. The boat passes under the bridge, and you can also see the sunken bridge without handrails, which adds a bit of thrill. The guide on the boat is enjoyable, and the highlights are well communicated. You can board without ordering a meal, but there are also bento boxes available, and the tempura with the aroma of aonori, the sweet shrimp, and local vegetables are delicious. The freshly grilled sweetfish is fluffy, and you can eat it whole, including the head. You can choose between wild or farmed eel, and if you request it to be grilled before boarding, it will be ready just after disembarking, with a sweet sauce that is fragrant and satisfying.
