At a takeout eel restaurant where you can casually stop by, the savory aroma first makes my heart dance. The grilled eel wrapped for me remained fluffy and tender even after arriving home, and when I inserted my chopsticks, the flesh easily came apart. The surface was crispy, while the inside was melt-in-your-mouth tender, showcasing the careful steaming and grilling techniques. When I added the accompanying sauce and sansho pepper, the sweet and spicy flavors combined with a refreshing aroma, making it impossible to stop eating the rice. Even when reheated, the fat remained just right, and with the fragrant smoke, the dining table instantly took on a rich atmosphere. I am very satisfied with the authentic taste of eel that I can enjoy leisurely at home.
