An island cuisine restaurant where you can fully enjoy the charm of Okinawa

Ryuukyuu Island Cuisine Taanmu is a restaurant dedicated to local production for local consumption, allowing you to savor Okinawan dishes to your heart's content. In particular, traditional Okinawan dishes and exquisite taro dishes made with locally sourced ingredients captivate visitors. With attentive service and a comfortable tatami seating area, it provides a relaxing environment that is family-friendly. This is a place I highly recommend for those who want to fully experience the blessings of the local area.

Thought there would be a variety of unique taro dishes, but the selection is limited. Taro Sansei includes a tablespoon of mashed taro, deep-fried taro (very hard on the outside), and a dish resembling chives (580 yen). The Taro Set Meal (2100 yen) supposedly includes the above three items, along with a bowl of rice, a taro dessert, a bowl of miso soup, and a plate of tempura. Disappointed with the lackluster taste of everything, and all the dishes are on the salty side. Additionally, there is a table serve fee of 300 yen per person... which was unexpected. Not to mention the 10% service charge, although there was hardly any service to speak of. When we questioned the high bill, one of the staff members came out, expressionless, and informed us it was the table fee. As we left, I glanced at her, and she looked rather unfriendly. Some reviews praised the food as delicious, with only one or two negative comments, so we thought it would be fine. However, it turned out to be quite disappointing. Overall, a rather poor experience.
