The spacious interior of the renovated traditional house has a relaxed and calm atmosphere that I immediately fell in love with. Since it operates on a number ticket system, even when it's crowded, you can leisurely spend time in the waiting area. Sitting at the sunken kotatsu table, my anticipation for the local cuisine rises as I touch the touch panel. The experience of scooping freshly made mochi from hot water and dipping it in sweet red bean paste or soybean flour is very enjoyable, and the chewy texture is irresistible. Dipping the firm green tea soba noodles in fried mochi and fragrant chicken tempura enhances the flavor, making me want to drink up the broth. The simple yet delicious 'yaseuma' is generously coated with fragrant soybean flour, leaving both my stomach and heart pleasantly satisfied.

A popular menu at a sweet tea house that includes Oita's specialty dango soup and two tempura rice balls (shrimp tempura rice ball and vegetable tempura rice ball). The hand-stretched 'dango' (noodles) are chewy. The large tempura rice balls add to the generous portion. (There is also a set with one tempura rice ball)
