The Japanese restaurant quietly located in a residential area has a strong sense of being a hidden gem right from the entrance. The small space centered around the counter is clean, and the warm greetings from the owner immediately put you at ease. The first dish served, a fluffy and creamy chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), was fragrant with dashi, raising expectations significantly. Next came a beautifully arranged sashimi platter featuring firefly squid and sweet shrimp, all so fresh that I couldn't help but keep eating. The lightly grilled white fish and the fried scallops wrapped in yuba (tofu skin) showcased meticulous craftsmanship, making me want to enjoy more sake. The meal concluded with firm soba noodles and homemade warabi mochi (bracken starch dumplings) with a gentle sweetness, leaving me completely satisfied until the very end.
