A cozy sushi restaurant where regulars gather

Located in Osaka's Uehommachi, "Sushi Ichi" is a beloved sushi restaurant among local regulars. In the calm atmosphere of the restaurant, you can enjoy a wide variety of fresh fish and appetizers. The nigiri sushi made with particularly fresh fish is exquisite, with the rich red meat and the crunchy texture of flounder engawa being especially delightful. It pairs wonderfully with beer and sweet potato shochu, making it a place you’ll want to visit again and again.

In a cozy shop interior, you can enjoy sushi in a relaxed atmosphere. There is a counter and small table seating, and the menu on the wall is easy to read. The sashimi platter has no unpleasant odor, and the umami is clear. The tuna rolls and crab miso gunkan are easy to eat, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. The yellowtail and eel nigiri are also perfectly seasoned, making it hard to stop eating. The service is attentive, and I felt it was perfect for a final stop.
