The interior is covered with tatami mats, and it is very clean and comfortable. The new building is barrier-free and has elevators, making it easy to move around. The guest rooms have attached toilets, allowing for a level of comfort that is hard to believe for a temple lodging. There is a large public bath where I could refresh myself. The soba kaiseki is served one dish at a time, creating excitement from start to finish. From tempura of wild vegetables, soba dumplings, soba chawanmushi, to taro dumplings, and finally, Togakushi soba, I was able to enjoy them with soba salt and dipping sauce, which provided a sense of satisfaction.
