A Hidden Soba Spot in a Renovated Home, Infused with Akita's Local Flavors

This small restaurant, run by a proprietress from Akita, is a renovated home where you can enjoy handmade soba and authentic Kiritanpo hot pot. The hot pot, infused with the rich flavor of Hinai chicken and fragrant seri, features Kiritanpo brought in from Akita, allowing the broth to soak in for a deep taste. The thin, smooth soba is served with homemade pickles and small side dishes, showcasing a rustic yet meticulous craftsmanship. It’s a homely space where you enter by ringing the doorbell.

The calm space reminiscent of a private home is enjoyable to enter from the entrance. It is a bit far from the station, but there is parking available, making it easy to access. The cold seiro soba is thin and soft, and the accompanying pickles and 'unohana' (a type of seasoned tofu) are comforting. The 'kiritanpo' in the hot pot makes the waiting time over the fire exciting. The flavors of Hinai chicken combined with burdock, maitake mushrooms, green onions, shirataki noodles, and the aroma of watercress create a great sense of satisfaction. With its homely taste and warm atmosphere, you can't help but want to linger longer.
