Blackwood Grill is a wood-fired grill restaurant located within a hotel, offering stunning views of Mount Yotei. In particular, the tender pork with its rich sweetness and the flavorful Shiretoko chicken are exceptional. Fresh vegetables sourced from local farmers pair wonderfully with wine, ensuring that each visit brings new discoveries.

The space has the warmth of wood, and it is pleasant to gaze at Mount Yotei through the large windows. The meat finished over a wood fire has a wonderful aroma, and the combination of sweetness and smokiness brings happiness. Both the Makari pork and Shiretoko chicken are free of any gamey taste and are very tender. The vegetables from the partner farms are all impressive, and I was surprised by the sweetness of the long-aged Kutchan potatoes. The wood-fired burger patties are juicy, and they pair well with the buns that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There is a wide variety of wines, and the recommended pairings make the meal even more delicious.
