The space, which has been remodeled from the guest room of the historic former Nara Prefectural Governor's residence, exudes a sense of Taisho Roman and is lovely. The garden visible from the window calms the mind, and the modest number of seats allows for a relaxed experience. The morning's two-tiered meal features a colorful array of seasonal ohitashi and pickled persimmons, which is exciting just to look at. The grilled fish and the creamy egg sauce made with Yoshino kudzu had a gentle flavor typical of the Kansai region. You can choose between freshly cooked Hinokihikari rice or tea porridge, and pairing it with the Yamato pork miso soup enhances the satisfaction even more. The pie-wrapped Asuka-nabe style soup and the combination of truffles, soybean flour, and Yamato beef served in the evening course were also innovative, allowing me to fully enjoy the pleasures of creative Japanese cuisine.
