A famous standing bar that has been around since the Taisho era

Okubo Sake Shop, established in the first year of the Taisho era, is a long-standing sake shop and the perfect place to enjoy standing bar culture. Inside, there is a large television where you can enjoy baseball broadcasts while savoring delicious homemade dishes. Beer is self-served from the refrigerator, while the owner pours sake with great care. In a friendly atmosphere, you can also enjoy conversations with regular customers.

The atmosphere is easy to drop by, making it easy to enter even for the first time. Inside the store, there are tables lined up, and it's fun to choose bottles from the refrigerator by yourself. The snacks include side dishes, oden, and fried foods, and it's nice that they come out quickly. In particular, the stir-fried offal and fried horse mackerel are fragrant and have a taste that makes you want to order them again. The selection of local sake is also abundant, allowing you to casually enjoy options from Fukuoka and Saga. When sports broadcasts are playing, the atmosphere between the customers and the store becomes one, creating a lively and exciting environment.
