A Japanese space where you can enjoy heartwarming oden and obanzai

Fukunokawa Ishida is a restaurant with a calm interior reminiscent of Kyoto, where you can enjoy heartwarming oden and obanzai. The delicate oden, made with a focus on homemade ingredients, captures the flavors of the seasons, and the signature "nibanai oden" comes highly recommended. Crafted with care by a kelp expert, it features a rich and profound taste, allowing you to discover new deliciousness with each visit.

The oden, centered around a gentle broth, brings comfort from the very first bite. In particular, the simmered anago (conger eel) oden was so tender that it fell apart, and it had a delightful flavor. The thick shiitake mushrooms were well-soaked in the broth, releasing umami with every bite. The creamy chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), the ohitashi (blanched greens) with gintoki grass, and the fried eggplant were all crafted with care. The crab-themed oden was available by reservation, and the combination of warm broth and the sweetness of the crab was irresistible. The clay pot rice and miso soup, along with the simmered beef and tiny dried fish, were all delicious, leaving me satisfied until the very end.
