The characteristic of Satsuma Chiran chicken is its exceptional flavor and texture that cannot be experienced with ordinary young chickens, raised with great care for over 450 days. As a result, the number of chickens that can be raised annually is only 0.8% of that of regular young chickens, making it a rare delicacy. Due to the long rearing period, it contains a high amount of collagen, linoleic acid, and amino acids, making it a chicken that health-conscious and beauty-oriented customers will appreciate. At 'Toridan', we use the particularly fatty 'special breed chicken thigh meat' from this precious Satsuma Chiran chicken.
