A Hidden Gem for Authentic Indonesian Cuisine

At Matahari Padang, you can experience the rare Padang cuisine that is hard to find in Japan. Located deep within a building, this restaurant offers stunning night views from the upper floors, making you feel as if you've traveled to Indonesia. The dishes are expertly seasoned with spices that complement the ingredients, resulting in a delightful taste. The establishment is clean and inviting, making it a wonderful spot for first-time visitors to feel comfortable and welcome.

When you take the elevator to the upper floors at the back of the building, a wonderful aroma of spices wafts through the air. There are many customers from Indonesia in the seating area, allowing you to immediately feel the authentic atmosphere. The staff, even with limited Japanese, have warm smiles, making it a very comfortable place. The rendang and tempeh goreng have rich flavors, and mixing in sambal made the rice go down easily. The lamb also pairs excellently with the spices, making it hard to stop eating. The view from the window is beautiful, and I was able to enjoy it leisurely along with the food.
