A cozy place to enjoy a wide selection of sake and wine

Wainto Nihonshu Kuriya is an izakaya located in the Higashimuki shopping district of Nara City, offering around 40 varieties of sake and 20 types of Japanese wine. The interior features counter seating and box seats, allowing guests to savor drinks and dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. The sashimi platter and the slowly simmered beef tendon skewers are particularly exquisite. Each visit brings new discoveries, making it a place you’ll want to return to time and again.

We used this restaurant for lunch. There were a variety of set menus, and the sashimi platter and fried chicken were delicious. The restaurant also had a good selection of about 20 different types of sake, mainly local Nara sake, which was a nice place to relax and have a drink.
