This shop located in North Maruyama has a calm atmosphere that allows you to relax the moment you enter. The wine cellar lined up at the back of the counter catches the eye, and the rich selection of sake and wine is exciting. The first thing that came out was a refreshing mint-scented hand towel that lifted my spirits, and the appetizer of natural mushrooms and komatsuna greens in a light broth was a gentle flavor that made me want to drink the broth. The homemade nuka pickles had an interesting combination of the crunchiness of yacon and the sweetness of tomatoes, making me involuntarily reach for my chopsticks. The skewers of Shiretoko chicken grilled over charcoal and the skewers of pork wrapped around apples had a perfect balance of saltiness, pairing well with both beer and wine. The sashimi platter featuring sea bream and scallops was incredibly fresh, and I was very satisfied to fully enjoy the blessings of Hokkaido with each dish.
