The specialty bento is not strongly scented and is easy to eat anywhere. The shumai is flavorful on its own, and you can be satisfied without adding mustard. The fried chicken is fluffy, and the simmered tuna is well-seasoned, making the difference in textures enjoyable. The combination of tamagoyaki, kamaboko, simmered bamboo shoots, and white rice, along with the small plums, is well-balanced. It has a reassuring sense of being a classic that has been around for a long time, and it tastes good even when cold. The hyouchan sable that I bought on the side has a nice sesame aroma and goes well with any tea.
