Minari (water dropwort) Samgyeopsal, which became a hot topic on Instagram and is now widely known in Japan. Originally, Minari Samgyeopsal refers to the way of eating by a water dropwort farmer in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongju, famous for cultivating water dropwort. It is said that they used to grill pork and wrap it in fresh raw water dropwort. When merchants who came to buy water dropwort tasted it, they found it very delicious, and word of mouth spread. Even now, there are many restaurants near Gyeongju where you can get a lot of water dropwort along with the price of Samgyeopsal. Water dropwort is rich in vitamin C, minerals, and beta-carotene, and it also contains a lot of dietary fiber, being known as a medicinal herb. Eating it with fresh water dropwort makes the fat of Samgyeopsal refreshing and healthy.
