Only 0.7% of restaurants in Kyoto use this rare mug size, with a usage rate of 1 out of 100 establishments! The mug at Jidaiya is the carefully crafted 'Showa Mug'! The Showa Mug is a nostalgic straight-type mug with an astonishing size of 500ml, perfect for those who lived through the Showa and Heisei eras, offering a nostalgic volume of beer that is a great deal. We use a special sponge for the mug to ensure it is thoroughly cleaned to the bottom! Delicious beer comes from the vessel. Fresh draft beer typically runs out in just one day. The next day, a new barrel is ready. Cleaning the server is key; we clean the parts where the beer flows to prevent any strange odors.
