A cafe next to a French restaurant

Salon de Bois is a charming cafe located on the 3rd floor of the Meijiya Building near Asahikawa Station. It is run by the same chef as the French restaurant "LeAnn," offering high-quality sweets and lunch menus. They also have a wide selection of cakes and bread for takeout. The cozy interior makes it an ideal place to spend a lovely time with friends and family.

Upon entering the café, a bright space with a white theme unfolds, and I feel excited as I can see the authentic French kitchen through the glass. The showcase is lined with colorful cakes and freshly baked bread, which is a delight to the eyes. When I ordered the lunch set, a cold potage and a refreshing salad were served first, and the careful presentation lifted my spirits. The homemade baguette was richly aromatic, and its chewy texture paired well with the soup. The main dish, fettuccine, was infused with the umami of clams, and even with the thick noodles, I could easily continue eating. The berry tart I ordered for dessert was subtly sweet and provided a happy aftertaste along with the blended coffee.
