When we choose wine and alcohol, we select items made in islands similar to Amami Oshima, lands surrounded by the sea, and those produced in climates that allow for enjoyable natural wines in the Amami climate. Please enjoy these unique wines.

The Oka Village in Ryugyo Town, where Yamada Sake Brewery is located, is at the foot of Mount Nagakumo, a land rich in water and greenery. The Yamada family expresses, 'We want to cherish our relationship with trustworthy customers and continue to do work that we can oversee.' The attitude of steadily crafting and selling shochu has produced brown sugar shochu. Please enjoy this locally loved shochu!
The brewery, located at the foot of the mountains not far from the sea, uses all-volume clay pots and black koji to create a sharp and deep flavor. It was founded on November 1, 1951, during the time when Amami was under American occupation. The brewery continues to use traditional brewing methods with large clay pots (540L). They differentiate the origin of the brown sugar used for each brand to match the flavor, and the sake is characterized by a rich taste that highlights the aroma of brown sugar.
The name 'Asahi' is not only the name of the brewery that receives the first sunlight in the archipelago but also its representative brand. Kikaijima is located the furthest east in the Amami Islands, and it was named because it is the first place to see the 'Asahi' that appears from the sea. Asahi Shuzo is dedicated to Kikaijima, continuously challenging itself with consistent 'manufacturing' from sugarcane cultivation and conveying the charm of Kikaijima through brown sugar shochu.
