A charming izakaya with a hidden atmosphere

Located just 11 minutes from Okayama Station, "Otokichi" is a cozy izakaya perfect for lively gatherings. You can enjoy a relaxed time in a semi-private room with a sunken kotatsu. The dishes made with seasonal fresh ingredients are all exquisite, with the sashimi and beef tongue shabu-shabu being particularly popular. With warm service and a pleasant atmosphere, it’s an inviting spot that encourages repeat visits.

The atmosphere is quiet and enjoyable, allowing for a relaxed time. I was guided to a partitioned seat, so even with a lively surrounding, I could drink comfortably. The thickly sliced sashimi is very fresh, and you can really taste the flavor of the fish. The beef tongue shabu-shabu is not greasy, and I couldn't stop eating it. The omelet, potato salad, and Chinese-style stir-fry are all delicious and pair perfectly with the drinks. The staff is kind, and it's thoughtful that I can place my belongings under the counter, which makes me happy.
