Yakitoriya Sugimoto is a yakitori restaurant that shines with its cozy ambiance and the genuine character of its owner. The small space with only a counter creates an intimate setting, and each skewer captivates with its refined deliciousness. In particular, the heart and neck meat skewers are expertly grilled to perfection, offering an exquisite taste.

I had decided to visit this restaurant when I was in Asagaya, but since I never had a chance to go there, I was forced to go halfway. Luckily, two seats were available ＼(^o^)／ when I peeked into the restaurant. Omakase course (1900 yen) The course consisted of appetizers, liver, white meat, tsukune, stuffed green pepper, gizzard, and momo. I think it was listed as oshinko on the menu in the restaurant, but my memory of eating it is vague. All dishes were carefully prepared and tasty, but I was particularly impressed with Liver. It was not like liver at all, in a good way. There was no smell or peculiar texture, and as you put it in your mouth and chew it slowly, the flavor of liver wafted through the air. I wanted to eat about five more. Stuffed peppers with meat The quality of the stuffed peppers, prepared by the owner who trained at the restaurant where it originated, is comparable to that of the main restaurant. The salt and pepper are a bit harsh, so the beer went down a treat. The a la carte menu included hatsu, bonjiri, and chicken wings (not pictured), as well as three drinks, and the bill was a reasonable 4,000 yen. A must when visiting Asagaya. The restaurant has only 6 seats at the counter, so if you go, you might want to make a reservation.
