A place to enjoy traditional Yaeyama oden and awamori

Ichiriki is a restaurant where you can savor the renowned Okinawan oden from Ishigaki Island. At the counter, you can enjoy a warm interaction with locals and travelers, creating a homely atmosphere. The classic oden ingredients like tebichi (pork trotters) and daikon are prepared with a light broth, soothing the fatigue of your journey. With warm hospitality, it's a wonderful place to indulge in the flavors of the island.

I was drawn in by the warm lights near the shopping street. It's a small shop with the warmth of wood, where you can spend a relaxing time. The oden, slowly simmered in a pot, has a gentle broth, and the tebichi (pork trotters) and daikon are tender and excellent. I also enjoyed a dish of shiitake mushrooms stuffed with white fish paste, which was full of flavor. The appetizer has a homely taste, making it easy to enjoy a drink. Conversations naturally arise at the counter with travelers and locals, and the friendly demeanor of the staff is pleasant.
