A 'tandoor' is a cylindrical oven made of clay used in places like India. Charcoal is burned at the bottom of the oven to heat it, reaching temperatures close to 480°C. Meats are skewered on metal rods and grilled, while naan is baked by sticking flattened dough to the inside of the oven.
